We’re looking for a Mechanic’s Helper to support daily operations in a busy automotive repair environment. This role is ideal for someone who’s motivated, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn from experienced technicians. You’ll assist with vehicle inspections, basic repairs, shop organization, and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Prep — Move vehicles in/out of bays, perform basic checks, and set up cars for diagnostics.
- Tool Support — Organize tools, maintain clean workspaces, and assist technicians during repairs.
- Parts Handling — Retrieve parts, verify deliveries, and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Basic Repairs — Support simple tasks such as battery installs, bulb replacements, and fluid top-offs.
- Shop Maintenance — Keep the shop clean, safe, and compliant with daily standards
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Aptitude — Basic understanding of automotive systems or willingness to learn.
- Physical Capability — Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced shop.
- Reliability — Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Communication Skills — Ability to work well with technicians, advisors, and customers.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
