Position Summary
We are seeking a fully licensed clinician (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) to join our team as an Assessor. The clinician will be responsible for conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and reassessments for all clients entering or continuing services at Progressive Counseling Services. This is a key position that ensures every client receives an accurate diagnosis, individualized treatment plan, and coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial clinical assessments and reassessments in accordance with DBHDD and CARF standards.
- Collect and analyze psychosocial, medical, educational, and behavioral information to establish diagnostic impressions.
- Complete individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Document assessments, treatment recommendations, and service authorizations in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) accurately and within required timelines.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and therapists for continuity of care.
- Ensure clinical compliance with state regulations, Medicaid, and agency policies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case staffing sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold all HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Fully licensed in Georgia as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW (Associate-level licenses are not eligible).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mental health or substance abuse assessments.
- Strong clinical documentation, diagnostic, and interviewing skills.
- Working knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria.
- Experience with DBHDD documentation preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
Schedule & Work Environment
- Flexible hybrid schedule: combination of in-office and remote documentation.
- Full-time or part-time availability.
- Must be able to complete assessments within required timeframes.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly or per-assessment rate: $55–$62 per hour, based on experience and credentials.
