Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Sleep Technician with Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification to join our dynamic sleep medicine team. In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive sleep studies, monitor patients throughout their sleep sessions, and ensure accurate data collection to assist in diagnosing sleep-wake disorders. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving patient health outcomes by providing high-quality diagnostic testing in a supportive and professional environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures, applying sensors, and ensuring comfort for accurate data collection
- Monitor polysomnography (PSG) testing throughout the night, observing electroencephalography (EEG), vital signs, respiratory patterns, oxygen levels, and other physiological parameters
- Operate and troubleshoot polysomnography equipment, including EEG, respiratory monitors, pulse oximeters, and CPAP/BiPAP machines
- Manually score sleep test data by analyzing EEG waveforms, respiratory events, limb movements, and other relevant metrics to generate precise reports
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) by documenting patient information, test results, and observations accurately and securely
- Assist with the setup and calibration of diagnostic medical equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Provide patient care by addressing concerns during testing, ensuring safety standards are met, and supporting patient comfort throughout the procedure
Requirements
- Current RPSGT certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
- Proven experience working with sleep studies in a clinical or sleep center setting
- Strong knowledge of physiology related to sleep-wake cycles, anatomy, and respiratory function
- Familiarity with polysomnography (PSG) monitoring techniques and diagnostic evaluation procedures
- Ability to operate medical equipment such as EEG systems, CPAP/BiPAP machines, pulse oximeters, and other respiratory therapy devices
- Proficiency in medical terminology and conducting physical examinations relevant to sleep disorders
- Experience managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems efficiently and securely
- Knowledge of medical emergency procedures including basic life support (BLS) certification

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
