Shipping & Warehouse Specialist
Location: Farmington, MO
Pay: $16.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM
PROMAN Staffing is hiring a Shipping & Warehouse Specialist for a warehouse/manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in building warehouse, shipping, and inventory experience.
This role supports daily warehouse operations by helping with material movement, order pulling, packing, labeling, inventory counts, and general shipping and receiving tasks. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipments
- Pull materials and products for customer orders and production requests
- Move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Stack, organize, and store products using proper material handling procedures
- Count, verify, and record inventory as directed
- Pack, label, and prepare shipments for delivery
- Inspect materials for visible damage and report shortages or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Participate in forklift training and obtain in-house forklift certification if required
- Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and warehouse procedures
- Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse team members as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to perform basic math and inventory counts
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to learn warehouse, shipping, and inventory processes
- Ability to obtain in-house forklift certification if required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, twist, push, pull, and carry materials throughout the shift
- Ability to safely handle warehouse materials and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. regularly
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with moving equipment, forklifts, noise, and varying temperatures
