We are an established Nevada based CPA firm looking for a Staff Accountant to join our diverse team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of accounting principles and tax preparation. They will be self-motivated by their own curiosity and able to manage a project from start to finish with limited supervision. This position is key to the success of our firm and is under direct supervisor of our Accounting managers and Partners.
- Prepare entity and individual tax returns
- Perform audit or review procedures as assigned by Accounting Managers
- Prepare trial balances and financial statements
- Perform other accounting, audit and tax duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel
- Possess a positive work ethic and a drive to participate as a member of the team
- Participate in networking and business development activities for personal and professional growth
- Ability to build relationships with clients, focus on understanding their needs to deliver timely and high-quality service
- Bachelor’s or Masters in Accounting required
- 2+ years’ experience in public accounting
- CPA or currently working toward obtaining license
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication
- Adept critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience in GAAP accounting
- Proficient in both general and accounting related computer software with preferred experience in ProSystems, Engagement, Quickbooks and Microsoft Office
