Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Cosmetology Instructor, Cosmetologist instructor assistant, and a Nail Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in cosmetology and related aesthetic treatments, with a strong ability to teach and inspire adult learners. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction in various cosmetology disciplines, including hair styling, coloring, nail care, esthetic treatments, and more. The instructor will play a vital role in preparing students for State Board Test and successful careers in the beauty industry by combining technical expertise with effective teaching methods.
Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans covering topics such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, facials, makeup application, body waxing, hair threading, dermabrasion, and aesthetic laser treatments.
- Conduct classroom instruction for adult students, ensuring comprehension of technical skills and industry standards.
- Demonstrate proper techniques for hair coloring, styling, barbering, nail care, and other cosmetology services.
- Incorporate specialized skills such as trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and anatomy knowledge into relevant courses.
- Assess student progress through practical exams and theoretical assessments; provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements to ensure curriculum relevance and excellence in teaching.
- Maintain a safe and professional learning environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist students with lesson planning and practical exercises to enhance their hands-on skills.
- Support students’ professional growth by offering guidance on industry best practices and career pathways.
Experience
- Valid Cosmetology license with experience in multiple disciplines including hair styling, coloring, nail care, esthetic treatments, and barbering.
- Prior classroom experience or training in adult education is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in body waxing is preferred.
- Knowledge of niche techniques like eyelash and eyebrows
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to cosmetology practices.
- Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse adult learners.

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
