Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Non-Commercial Driver's License Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will operate various types of vehicles, including BOX TRUCKS . Your primary focus will be on providing excellent customer service while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Duties
- Safely operate shuttle buses, delivery vehicles, and other authorized vehicles in compliance with state transportation regulations and company policies
- Transport goods between designated locations promptly and courteously
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when loading or unloading cargo or equipment
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and clients using effective verbal and radio communication skills
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during transit, including proper use of seat belts and adherence to traffic laws
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries professionally and ensuring a comfortable experience
Experience
- 1 year box truck driver
- Demonstrated ability to operate personal vehicles for delivery purposes with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with heavy lifting, manual handling, and vehicle maintenance routines
- Knowledge of state transportation regulations related to commercial driving and paratransit services
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse customers and team members
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license (or equivalent) with relevant endorsements for passenger or commercial driving preferred
