Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic PreK Spanish Teacher to inspire young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that integrate Spanish language instruction with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and active participation among preschool-aged children.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and maintain a safe, inclusive space for all students.
- Incorporate Montessori methods and other child-centered teaching strategies to support individualized learning styles and developmental needs.
- Assess student progress regularly through observations, standardized testing, and formative assessments; adjust lesson plans accordingly to meet diverse learning goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists in special education and early intervention to support each child's unique development plan.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student activities, behavior reports, and progress records in compliance with mandated reporting laws and childcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, preferably within private or Montessori schools.
- Strong background in early childhood education principles, childhood development instruction, and classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and child welfare best practices.
- Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to implement child development instruction tailored to toddlers’ needs while fostering bilingual language skills in Spanish.
- Certification or training in special education or early intervention is desirable; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential.
