Position Summary
The Project Engineer plays a vital role in supporting the successful planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects. This individual works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Required Skills:
- Maintain project document control thru the life of the project
- Maintain project logs including change orders, RFIs and submittals and project closeout documents
- Attend meetings as requested. Prepare and document meeting minutes as requested
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Coordinate with field personnel/supervision; provide necessary field documentation and instructions (including quality standards/procedures)
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and clear project updates.
- Vendor Management: experience in working with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Regular site walks to ensure schedule, coordination, and quality will be required throughout the life of the project on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with the VDC/BIM/Pre-Fab teams as needed
- Perform other related duties that contribute to the success of the project and company as assigned by supervision
- Familiarity with electrical equipment, electrical schematics materials and specifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Project Engineering experience in commercial building construction required, hyperscale or mission-critical data center projects experience highly preferred.
- Can be a combination of training, education, and relevant work experience that is equivalent
- Role is a full-time onsite position in Utah must live in the area or willing to relocate
- Knowledge and ability to read blueprints; submittals, and other technical information
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
