Position Summary
Deliver patient care as a medical team member providing the most efficient and highest quality of care possible while maintaining compassion for the patient’s needs. Assist with exams and procedures as directed by the provider. Act as a patient advocate.
PHI Access and Disclosure
It is the policy of our practice that all providers and staff preserve the integrity and confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) pertaining to our patients. To ensure that staff members have the necessary medical and PHI to provide the highest quality medical care possible, they will have access to the patient’s medical chart, demographic information, and, when necessary financial information. The staff member must sign a Confidentiality Agreement before receiving access to this information
Primary Responsibilities
Patient Care
Tier 1-3 MA

Obtain a history of present illness/concerns, obtain HPI and any updates

Perform a review of systems with the patient

Prepare patients for examination and/or procedures

Take past medical, family, medication, allergy, and social history and update at eachvisit

Complete patient notes, chief complaint, review of systems, scribingexam, scribingassessment, and scribing the treatment plan as outlined by the provider. Input and verify information for MIPS to ensure favorable results
- Perform suture removals, and provide instructions on post-op wound care

Take phone calls and return phone messages, triaging patients as necessary
