Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Risk Prevention Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee compliance with healthcare regulations, manage risk mitigation strategies, and ensure that our operations adhere to industry standards. Your expertise will help safeguard our organization’s integrity while promoting a culture of safety and quality within our healthcare-related processes.
Safety Manuals and Procedures
- Prepare the manual and revise it whenever necessary; obtain all information required for the manual, including photos, recipes, changes, and vendor products.
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations.
- Prepare and distribute the manuals.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Safety Prevention Support
- Prepare charts of internal inspections and present the results at General Manager meetings.
- Prepare accident charts for all areas and present the results at General Manager meetings.
Accident Reporting and Follow-Up
- Report employee and customer accidents to the insurance companies.
- Prepare OSHA Forms 300 and 300A.
- Follow up with OSHA when necessary and coordinate with the departments involved in the event of a fine.
- Follow up on all accident claims.
- Send the necessary information to the adjusters.
- Maintain contact with clinics within the network.
- Maintain active communication with store managers.
- Verify workplace restrictions for injured employees.
- Follow up on accident cases involving attorney letters.
- Attend proceedings with the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation (TDI), when necessary, either locally or out of town.
- Prepare presentations for workplace safety training.
Support for Other Departments
- Work with the Operations Department to communicate changes involving injured employees.
- Assist with DOT registrations and renewals.
Requirements:
- Bilingual: Fully fluent in both languages (English and Spanish)
- Software proficiency: Microsoft Office, scanner, email, etc.
