About the Role
Apogee Mechanical is looking for an experienced Repair Installation Technician to join our team. This is not a general installation-crew position — this is a specialized role built around speed, precision, and follow-through.
Here's how it works: our diagnostic technicians spend their day identifying exactly what's wrong and exactly what parts are needed — compressors, motors, TXVs, gaskets, doors, and more. Your job is to take that diagnosis and get the part installed, correctly and quickly, so the customer's equipment is back up and running with minimal downtime.
This role keeps our diagnosticians doing what they do best — diagnosing — while you make sure the fix actually gets into the equipment without delay. It's a tight, efficient system, and we need someone who takes pride in being the guy who closes the loop.
What You'll Do
- Receive parts and diagnostic findings from our diagnostic technicians and prioritize same-day/next-day installation
- Install compressors, motors, TXVs, gaskets, doors, and other commercial refrigeration/HVAC/kitchen equipment components
- Recognize when an installed part is only one step in a larger repair — not every fix is the last fix, and we need someone with enough working knowledge to identify if a problem persists after installation and flag it appropriately
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, the diagnostic tech, and the customer about job status
- Maintain clean, professional installation work that meets code and manufacturer specs
- Keep an organized truck inventory and manage parts logistics for your route
What We're Looking For
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or kitchen equipment repair
- Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working across compressors, motors, TXVs, controls, and related components
- Enough diagnostic literacy to recognize an incomplete repair — you don't need to be the diagnostician, but you need to know when something's still not right
- Self-starter who can manage a route independently and prioritize based on urgency
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- EPA certification (required)

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
