Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various systems including electrical, powertrain, transmissions, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs, diesel engine servicing, transmission work, wheel alignments, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to interpret vehicle wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts for precise repairs.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
- Service vehicles by replacing parts, adjusting alignments, and ensuring optimal operation of systems such as steering, brakes, suspension, and emissions controls.
- Maintain detailed repair records and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and estimates.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies including ADAS calibration procedures and GM vehicle specifications to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation for complex vehicle systems including transmissions and powertrains.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
- Ability to diagnose issues accurately using advanced diagnostic software and techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Knowledge of auto estimating procedures for parts and labor costs is advantageous.
- Valid certification in automotive repair or equivalent technical training; ASE certification is a plus.

Pay: $28.62 - $55.00 per hour
