First African Child Development Center – Making a Difference, One Child at a Time
1. Early Childhood Teachers (Ages 1–12)
We are seeking a passionate and committed educator to join our Program. This program supports children from a low-income, Black neighborhood who are living on government assistance. Our goal is to remediate academic gaps in children performing below grade level and enhance learning for those performing at or above grade level.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging academic lessons tailored to individual student levels
- Incorporate fun and meaningful activities that reinforce learning
- Supervise and guide students during field trips to local parks and museums
- Create a supportive and empowering environment where each child can thrive
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced in working with children aged (1–12)
- Culturally competent and sensitive to the needs of underserved communities
- Creative, organized, and passionate about education equity
- A nurturing and skilled early childhood educator to teach and guide our youngest learners.
- Creative in planning age-appropriate indoor and outdoor learning activities
- Warm, dependable, and skilled in parent-teacher communication
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate each child’s developmental progress and learning style
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on children's needs
- Communicate regularly with parents, offering meaningful feedback on development and growth
- Organize and lead educational field trips that bring learning to life
- Incorporate outdoor activities and garden exploration into daily lessons

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
