Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries to lead and inspire a growing community of young believers. This vital role involves developing innovative programs, fostering spiritual growth, and engaging youth and young adults in meaningful faith-based activities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to Jesus and the Gospel, nurturing spiritual development, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to community engagement. As a key leader within our organization, you will create an environment where youth feel valued, supported, and empowered to live out their faith actively.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive youth and young adult ministry programs that align with the organization’s mission and values.
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages spiritual growth, community involvement, and leadership among youth and young adults.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, mentors, and youth leaders to ensure effective program delivery and mentorship.
- Use and deploy engaging religious education curricula that incorporate biblical theology and apologetics
- Plan and coordinate special events such as retreats, mission trips, outreach projects, to promote active participation.
- Provide pastoral support through prayer and presence youth facing personal challenges or grief.
- Collaborate with church staff, community organizations, and families to strengthen youth engagement in faith activities and community service initiatives.
- Manage outreach efforts to connect with local schools, community centers, and other organizations to expand youth participation.
- Ensure all programs comply with safety standards related to religious organization childcare experience and social work best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults within a religious or nonprofit faith-based organization setting.
- Demonstrated leadership in youth ministry or pastoral work with a focus on engaging diverse age groups in spiritual activities.
- Strong background in religious teaching, religious studies instruction, or youth programs teaching experience.
- Experience managing volunteers or staff in a faith-based environment with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of biblical theology, Christian apologetic and the Gospel.
- Successful track record in event planning for faith-based activities such as retreats or community service projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clergy members, community leaders, parents, and volunteers to foster a supportive faith community.

Pay: $24,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
