Position Summary:
The PDR/Sales Intern supports the planning, coordination, and execution of private dining and special events within Chicago Downtown locations. This role works closely with the sales and operations teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences, and ensure seamless event execution. Interns are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four distinct core beliefs: Hospitality, Quality, Value and Family.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support private dining and event logistics across all downtown locations, rotating between venues as needed.

Assist with administrative tasks including creating event menus, preparing labels, filing documents, processing invoices, and confirming event details with internal teams.

Assist with room setup, table arrangements, and attention to detail in event presentation.

Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality guest experiences.

Ensure alignment with our service standards.

Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Assist with guest flow, vendor coordination, and service timing during events.

Work side-by-side with the PDR Sales Associate and PDR Manager to gain real-world mentorship.

Education and/or Experience:
Current college student pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, or a related field. Exposure to Reserve and Social Tables is a plus. Experience with Google Suite and Cava.
Skills:
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality, with interest in sales and event planning within a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong basic office, time management and organizational skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
