We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Handyman to handle
general maintenance and repairs on residential rental properties in
Gulfport, FL (33707) and the surrounding St. Petersburg area.
Responsibilities:
- Minor repairs: drywall patching, caulking, door/lock/hinge adjustments
- Painting and touch-ups (interior and exterior)
- Basic plumbing (faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, leaks)
- Basic electrical (outlets, switches, light fixtures, ceiling fans)
- Replace and repair fixtures, blinds, screens, and hardware
- Assemble and mount furniture, shelving, and appliances
- Assist with unit turnovers and make-ready between tenants
- Carpentry and small woodworking repairs
- Pressure washing and general exterior upkeep as needed
- Report larger maintenance issues and keep a simple job log
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance tech, or in the trades
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting
- Own a basic set of hand and power tools
- Physically able to lift, bend, and work outdoors in Florida heat
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Gulfport / St. Pete area
- Punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Basic English communication skills
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time: approximately 10-20 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling (weekday mornings preferred)
- $20-$25/hour depending on experience
- Ongoing, steady work across a portfolio of local properties
