Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial and construction projects from conception through closeout. The ideal candidate will drive project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring quality, safety, schedule adherence, and budget control. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication with stakeholders, and a deep understanding of design-build and ground-up construction across sectors such as hospitality, healthcare, restaurants, retail, and big box commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities

Lead full project lifecycle including planning, procurement, execution, commissioning, and closeout for commercial construction projects.

Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; identify and mitigate risks to cost and timeline.

Coordinate and manage design-build processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and design teams to ensure constructability and program compliance.

Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance management; enforce contract terms and resolve disputes promptly.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality control, safety compliance, and code adherence; implement corrective actions as needed.

Serve as primary client contact; maintain clear and proactive communication with owners, tenants, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Prepare and deliver project reports, change order documentation, meeting minutes, and other project communications.

Manage permitting, inspections, and regulatory approvals; ensure projects meet all applicable building codes and standards.

Implement and maintain project management tools and documentation (RFIs, submittals, daily reports, log tracking) to ensure project transparency and accountability.

Mentor and develop project staff, promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high-performance teamwork.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction; experience with design-build and ground-up projects strongly preferred.

Proven track record managing projects in hospitality, healthcare, restaurants, retail, and/or big box sectors.

Experience with budgeting, cost control, scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar), and construction management platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, etc.).

Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, permitting processes, and safety regulations (OSHA).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams.

Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or equivalent certification preferred.

Ability to read construction drawings and specifications; familiarity with AutoCAD or building information modeling (BIM) is a plus.

Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
