Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license (California)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress documentation
- Organizational skills to manage evaluations, recordkeeping, and scheduling across multiple grade levels
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet varied student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students with a range of needs
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, treatment sessions, and reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and updates
- Support students in developing skills for academic participation, self-care, and daily routines
