The Quality Engineer’s primary role is to drive quality improvement throughout the entire organization utilizing sound quality tools and statistical methods.
Administrative

Reviews and processes Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for all projects and runtime improvements

Sets up the quality requirements in the system for inspection

Reviews supplier PPAP and capability study information
ISO Compliance

Performs internal audits to ensure compliance to ISO requirements and Wacker Neuson America goals

Identifies and implements appropriate preventative and corrective actions along with root cause analysis and effectiveness review
New Product Introduction

Coordinates the QA section of the Product Realization Process
-
Analyzes new and revised part introductions using statistical analysis

Reports item status to core teams and facilitate issue resolution
Problem Solving and Quality Improvement:

Troubleshoots and resolves issues to improve Plant and Supplier Quality
Safety

Performs all job functions is a safe manner and maintains safety awareness

Reports known accidents, injuries and unsafe practices and/or conditions to supervisor
Qualifications: Additional years of experience or education may be substituted for each other as determined by Human Resources.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.

One (1) year of experience in a Quality related function is required, three (3) to five (5) years of experience is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrate use of analytical problem solving skills and tools.

Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Statistical Analysis Software.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, talk or hear. Must be able to lift and/or move 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs (assisted). Must be able to work under hot or cool and sometimes loud conditions, hearing protection may be required. Able to travel up to 5% to other Company locations.
