Rodfathers is a RV Body Shop that works primarily on Motorhomes, Travel Trailers and buses. Rodfathers has been in business for 25+ years.
***Pay is based on experience in an actual body shop.
Education & Experience
- Technical training in auto body, fiberglass repair, or RV repair preferred
- 2+ years' experience in fiberglass and collision repair (RV, auto, marine, or heavy vehicle)
- Experience with motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, or commercial vehicles preferred
Technical Skills
- Repair damage according to work order with accuracy and efficiency
- Advanced knowledge of fiberglass repair, including cracking, delamination, and structural reinforcement
- Ability to perform collision damage repair on RV bodies and frames
- Experience repairing fiberglass panels, gel coat, aluminum siding, and composite materials
- Skilled in panel removal/replacement, sanding, shaping, laminating, and finishing
- Knowledge of bonding agents, resins, fillers, and curing processes
- Ability to align and repair damaged structural components
- Account for and document time spent working on each job each day
- Must be able to multitask (work on different jobs at the same time)
- Maintain work area in clean and safe condition
- Must have dependable transportation
- Must not be afraid of heights
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on large RV units using lifts, ladders, and scaffolding
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and handle oversized components
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work overhead for extended periods
Safety & Compliance
- Knowledge of fiberglass handling procedures
- Proper use of PPE, including respirators and protective clothing
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently, with coworkers and meet production deadlines
- Effective communication with coworkers, and management
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Licensing & Background
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening (if required)
