Position Overview
Woodbridge Islamic School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Quran & Islamic Studies Teacher to teach students in Grades 5–8. The ideal candidate will inspire students in their understanding of Islam, strengthen their connection to the Quran, and foster strong Islamic character and values.
Responsibilities
Quran Instruction
- Teach Quran recitation and Tajweed.
- Guide students in Quran memorization and fluency.
- Assess and monitor student progress.
- Encourage proper Quran etiquette and love for the Quran.
Islamic Studies
Teach topics including:
- Aqeedah (Islamic Creed)
- Seerah (Life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
- Hadith
- Islamic Manners and Character Development
- Islamic History
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Quran, Tajweed, and Islamic Studies.
- Experience teaching children and adolescents preferred.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging, and faith-centered learning environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
