The Executive Assistant to the CMO serves as a force multiplier within a global marketing organization of 160 colleagues. This is not a traditional administrative role. It is a strategic executive partnership role designed to ensure the CMO’s time, attention, preparation, and energy are aligned to the highest impact priorities for the business.
This role reports directly to the Chief of Staff to the CMO and works in close partnership with her. Together, they operate as a coordinated executive team. The Chief of Staff focuses on strategic alignment, cross functional initiatives, and executive priorities. The Executive Assistant focuses on ensuring adherence to operational cadences, preparation, precision, and executive readiness.
This position is designed for a career Executive Assistant who is committed to the executive support profession. It is not a pathway role into marketing. Success in this role requires mastery of executive leverage, anticipation, and operational excellence.
Success means the CMO is always prepared, never surprised, and consistently focused on the highest value outcomes. It means the marketing organization functions with predictable cadences, efficient use of travel and meeting time, and strong operational rigor.
Executive Readiness and Preparation
Own the forward view of the CMO’s calendar and commitments, looking ahead across days, weeks, months and quarters to anticipate preparation needs.
Ensure the CMO is fully prepared for each meeting with context, background materials, talking points, and clarity on the objective or decision required.
Identify potential risks, sensitivities, or missing information in advance and delay, cancel meetings accordingly.
