The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading the VTXW inside sales, customer support, and sales administration function to ensure accurate order execution, responsive customer communication, effective RFQ/PO/RMA handling, and coordinated support of assigned Round Rock customer programs. This role serves as the primary operational sales leader connecting customer-facing support activity with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Shipping, Accounting, and Sales leadership so that customer requirements, order status, shipment timing, documentation gaps, change-order issues, and delivery risks are managed clearly and promptly. The position is expected to build a disciplined, customer-focused, process-driven Round Rock inside sales organization that supports customer satisfaction, accurate transactions, timely communication, and continuous improvement. Participate in site safety, operational, or customer-readiness meetings as assigned by leadership.
Duties
The duties of the Inside Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Manage daily VTXW inside sales/customer support work queues for RFQs, POs, RMAs, order updates, customer inquiries, and escalations.
- Ensure orders are entered, maintained, updated, and documented accurately in the company ERP/QAD system and related customer portals.
- Review customer POs and change order requirements for completeness and route discrepancies to the proper internal or customer contact.
- Monitor RFQ documentation completeness and coordinate missing-print, STP, PQC, BOM, and related requests with customers or buyers.
- Maintain visibility to sales hold items and drive follow-up/escalation when missing documents or buyer non-responsiveness delays order or engineering setup.
- Coordinate customer delivery updates, late-delivery communications, push/pull requests, and build-risk/change-order communications through approved channels.
- Oversee PACE/DASH and related program activities assigned to the VTXW inside sales/customer support team, including consignment/ASN/shipping coordination and process corrections.
- Coordinate shipment release, invoice timing, freight/change-order support, and monthendsales coverage with Shipping, Finance, and Sales leadership.
- Support customer setup activity by coordinating credit applications, resale certificates, W-9/MNDA/NDA routing, and related documentation with Finance/Accounting and Sales leadership.
- Coordinate capacity, technical capability, and customer support requests with Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Sales leadership before committing externally.
- Train, coach, and support assigned employees in customer service, order execution, documentation standards, and escalation practices.
- Recommend process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, customer responsiveness, and internal visibility.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Director, Global Sales that are consistent with VTXW inside sales/customer support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, supply chain, or related field preferred when supported by candidate experience.
- Five or more years of inside sales, customer service, order administration, sales operations, account support, or related commercial/operations experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and develop customer-facing or sales support personnel.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook; ERP/QAD, CRM, customer portal, or sales-related software experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including customer updates, internal escalations, and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong organization, follow-through, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple customer and internal priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, semiconductor, high-purity, data center, or
- technical product environments preferred.
