Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Traveling Superintendent (Minnesota) in Minneapolis, MN. The Traveling Superintendent will oversee short-duration retail remodel projects focused on electronics department upgrades across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is a construction professional with extensive on-site management experience who is comfortable with a 100% travel schedule and working consistent night shifts to ensure project quality and timeline adherence.

Pay: $48 to $50 Per Hour BOE
Licenses/Certifications Required:
- OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Meet with the Owner’s Representative on the first day of each project to align on expectations and site logistics.
- Oversee light demolition, drywall installation, and flooring work to ensure strict compliance with project specifications.
- Supervise the installation of new electrical fixtures and shelving units within specialized retail departments.
- Manage and monitor the work quality of on-site subcontractors and other general contractors self-performing work.
- Act as the primary point of contact and on-site representative to identify and resolve field issues immediately.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily reports documenting progress, site conditions, and manpower.
- Coordinate rapid project transitions, managing approximately three-day project cycles per store location.
- Ensure all work is performed safely according to OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols.
- Maintain professional communication with store personnel and project stakeholders throughout the remodel process.
- Oversee the remodeling of specific department wall sections including electrical and shelving upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in on-site construction management or as a field superintendent.
- Significant experience in retail commercial remodeling projects is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of light demolition, drywall, and flooring trades.
- Ability to work a consistent night shift schedule (10pm - 6am, Sunday through Friday).
- Availability to travel 100% between project sites as required by the regional schedule.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from various store locations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to complete required online client-specific training prior to starting on-site.
- Must be available to start on the specific project start date of Sunday, July 12th.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for the duration of an 8-10 hour night shift.
- Must be able to navigate active construction environments including climbing ladders and stairs.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching to inspect work quality.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Awareness of and ability to work safely in environments with loud noises and construction dust.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $48 to $50 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
