Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders, and providing recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and assist guests with selections through upselling techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely food preparation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures.
- Uphold food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with all health regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a server role within fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus, as well as familiarity with food preparation techniques.
