Job description
Title: Senior Manager of Digital Lifecycle & Ecommerce Operations
Location: Remote / Hybrid Transition Expected
Reports To: President & CEO
Role Overview
GC + SOHO Brands is seeking a highly organized, highly executable Manager of Digital Lifecycle & Ecommerce Operations to help drive the day-to-day growth, organization, and performance of ShopTheSoho.com.
This is a hands-on ecommerce operations role for someone who enjoys balancing strategy and execution across retention marketing, site merchandising, CRO, campaign execution, digital operations, and cross-functional project management.
This is not a large-team management position. The ideal candidate is comfortable personally handling both high-level planning and detailed day-to-day execution. Success in this role requires strong follow-through, adaptability, accountability, and a willingness to jump into whatever is needed to help move the business forward.
The right person thrives in entrepreneurial environments, enjoys ownership, communicates clearly, and takes pride in execution.
Core Responsibilities
Lifecycle & Retention Marketing
- Execute and optimize email and SMS campaigns
- Manage segmentation, flows, testing, and campaign calendars
- Coordinate with external agency partners when applicable
- Monitor retention KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist with campaign setup, QA, reporting, and performance analysis
Site Experience & Conversion Optimization
- Help drive CRO testing initiatives and user experience improvements
- Identify customer friction points and areas for optimization
- Coordinate implementation of site updates and enhancements
- Perform QA/UAT testing prior to launches and deployments
- Work alongside developers and vendors to improve site functionality and performance
Digital Merchandising & Content Execution
- Manage homepage updates, landing pages, and promotional content
- Align site experience with marketing calendars and product launches
- Assist with visual merchandising and product placement strategy
- Coordinate creative assets and ensure timely execution
Ecommerce Operations & Project Execution
- Help manage ecommerce project timelines and implementation
- Push initiatives forward across departments and stakeholders
- Maintain organization across launches, priorities, and ongoing initiatives
- Surface blockers quickly and help identify solutions
- Ensure projects and deliverables stay on track
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with ecommerce, merchandising, creative, marketing, and operations teams
- Help maintain accountability and communication across departments
- Operate with ownership and urgency in a lean, collaborative environment
- Support business needs across multiple areas when required
Qualifications
- 3–6+ years experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, retention, or ecommerce operations
- Shopify experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Klaviyo, email/SMS platforms, and retention marketing
- Familiarity with CRO, UX optimization, and digital merchandising
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable executing both strategic and tactical work
- Self starter with strong follow-through and accountability
- Comfortable working within a lean team structure
Important Fit Considerations
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being highly involved in the day-to-day execution of ecommerce operations. While the role includes ownership and strategic input, it also requires a willingness to personally manage details, coordinate execution, troubleshoot issues, and help move projects forward across the business.
Candidates seeking a heavily delegated environment or large supporting teams may not find this role to be the right fit.
What Success Looks Like
- Brings real hands-on ecommerce, retention, digital operations, or Shopify experience and can quickly contribute without requiring extensive structure or oversight
- Applies logic, problem solving, and common sense to day-to-day business situations rather than waiting for constant direction
- Naturally takes ownership of projects, follows through on details, and helps move initiatives forward across departments
- Communicates clearly, surfaces issues early, and helps create stronger accountability and organization throughout the ecommerce workflow
- Campaigns, site updates, launches, and operational initiatives become more organized, timely, and executable
- Demonstrates curiosity and a genuine interest in learning multiple areas of the business including ecommerce, merchandising, product, marketing, operations, customer experience, and digital strategy
- Enjoys being involved across multiple moving pieces of the business instead of operating inside a narrow or highly siloed role
- Comfortable balancing both strategic thinking and detailed execution work depending on business needs
- Helps reduce friction, improve workflow, and create better operational consistency over time
- Becomes a dependable “go-to” contributor that leadership and team members can trust to help solve problems, organize initiatives, and drive execution
- Makes a measurable impact across several areas of the business over time through adaptability, ownership, follow-through, and execution
