Overview:
The Child Engagement Advocate reports directly to the Director of Child and Community Engagement and provides child engagement services to children at the CAC. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting the Director of Child and Community Engagement in coordinating the client special projects (i.e. Holiday Project and Back to School Fair).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in child development or related field
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of child development
- Knowledge of child abuse dynamics
- Computer literate in business applications
- Personal experience working as, or with, a volunteer

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide child engagement as needed, at CACCC Plano and North locations
- Maintain relationships with child engagement interns
- Maintain cleanliness of child engagement areas in both locations
- Plan structured activities for evening child engagement shifts weekly
- Conduct trauma and suicide screenings for clients
- Rotate on call for family advocacy and child engagement
- Assist with tasks related to client special projects
- Operate in an ethically responsible manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned
