Maintenance Manager Operations Management | Full-Time | On-site | Northern Cincinnati
We’re a fast-growing, vertically integrated food manufacturer scaling rapidly in both direct-to-consumer and retail channels. We control production and fulfillment end-to-end—an uncommon advantage that lets us innovate quickly, respond directly to customers, and maintain high standards across every phase of the business. We're aiming to become a household brand and are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager who thrives in a high-growth manufacturing environment and wants real ownership over keeping our operations running at peak performance.
What You’ll Own
You’ll lead the maintenance function to ensure our facilities, production lines, and equipment deliver maximum efficiency and reliability. This includes preventive maintenance, rapid response to mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems (including related software), and building a high-performing maintenance team.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Leading and prioritizing all maintenance processes and operations
-
Managing, coaching, and developing maintenance personnel
-
Owning the maintenance budget and tracking expenses
-
Keeping all machinery and production equipment at optimal working standards
-
Creating, implementing, and continuously improving maintenance procedures and standards
-
Conducting regular facility and equipment inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively
-
Planning and overseeing repair and installation work
-
Ensuring strict adherence to safety policies, HACCP, GMP, and quality standards
-
Managing spare parts inventory and ordering supplies as needed
-
Partnering with production leadership to ensure lines meet or exceed output forecasts
-
Collaborating with R&D and engineering on new equipment, product changes, and future capacity planning
-
Developing team capabilities through training, one-on-ones, and performance management
-
Other duties as needed in a fast-moving environment
Who You Are
You’re a practical, results-driven leader who enjoys being on the floor shoulder-to-shoulder with the team. You bring:
-
5+ years of maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred)
-
2–3 years of people-management experience
-
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and facilities systems
-
Solid foundation in Maintenance & Reliability best practices, HACCP, safety, and GMP
-
Hands-on work ethic and comfort in a production environment
-
Excellent organizational, leadership, coaching, and communication skills
-
Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and standard office tools
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in a related field is a plus)
-
Bilingual skills preferred
-
A collaborative mindset and desire to support a culture of shared ideas, continuous improvement, and celebrating wins
You partner and influence effectively at all levels, handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, communicate clearly (even on complex topics), and bring a relentless drive to get things done. You’re curious, flexible, and quick to learn new processes and technology.
