Compensation: $38–$45/hour DOE
Schedule: 40 guaranteed full-time hours (schedule may flex slightly week to week). Flexibility is required, including occasional weekend availability.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is:
- Warm, optimistic, and genuinely enjoys children
- Experienced with toddlers (ages 2–5) and early childhood development
- Familiar with or appreciative of RIE, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, respectful parenting, or similar child-led philosophies
- Calm, patient, emotionally intelligent, professional, reliable, and highly communicative
- Interested in building a long-term relationship with the family
- Fully present while caring for the child (no screen use)
- Comfortable working alongside a parent who sometimes works from home and open to occasional travel
A background in Early Childhood Education, teaching, child development, or a similar field is highly valued. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, engaging childcare
- Plan age-appropriate activities and outings
- Support emotional development and social skills
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child
- Child laundry and maintaining child-related spaces
- Keep the kitchen clean before each shift ends
- Load/unload the dishwasher as needed
- Assist with light family assistant duties when appropriate
- Communicate regularly with the parent via text updates
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional nanny experience
- Experience caring for toddlers in a private home
- CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to renew)
- Familiar with or appreciative of RIE, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, respectful parenting, or similar child-led philosophies
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Clear background check and Trustline
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Comfortable with W-2 employment
- Fluent in English
