Job Title: Electrical Service Manager
Job Classification: Exempt, Full-time
Reports To: President
Supervises: Electrical Service Technicians, Dispatcher
POSITION PURPOSE
1. Responsible for managing current relationships while generating new customer relationships.
2. Oversees and supervises the commercial and residential function for the service department.
3. Directs and coordinates service technicians for commercial and residential service.
4. The ideal candidate will have electrical or construction experience in either the field or sales side, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Develop sales goals/strategies and boost sales performance
2. Generate business opportunities for the electrical service department
3. Supervise dispatcher and support service technicians
4. Manage customer relations, resolve issues, and oversee contracts
5. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
6. Travel to job sites for review as needed
7. Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Training, education, or certification:
1. High School diploma or GED
Knowledge:
1. Applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, electrical codes and ordinances that will affect this position
2. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
Experience:
1. 2+ years in the electrical service or construction industry required, 5+ years preferred
2. Office experience preferred
Skills and abilities:
1. Excellent organizational and communication skills
2. Critical thinking and customer service skills
3. Supervise team
CONTACTS
Internal - Has regular contact with McElroy Electric President, accounting staff and scheduling.
External - Has regular contact with McElroy Electric business clients and vendors.
DISCLAIMERS
Physical Demands: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing.
Work Environment: Normal office environment with little discomfort due to such factors as noise, heat, dust, or other adverse factors.
