Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Develop and maintain master production schedules (MPS) aligned with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to synchronize production plans with demand planning and supply chain requirements.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to ensure optimal inventory control, minimize waste, and prevent stockouts.
- Analyze Excel data and spreadsheets to identify trends, forecast needs, and improve production scheduling accuracy through data-driven insights.
- Monitor production progress daily, adjusting schedules proactively to address delays or capacity changes while communicating updates across cross-functional teams.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall productivity.
- Maintain detailed records of scheduling activities, inventory movements, and production metrics for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Corresponds daily with sister facilities including sending daily lists of material requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, demand forecasting analysis, and production planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical proficiency with IQMS systems or other manufacturing resource planning (MRP) software.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, logistics inventory management, and inventory control practices.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis, spreadsheets creation, and reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate effectively with procurement, production teams, logistics providers, and sales departments.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets using Excel data analysis techniques to support forecasting accuracy.
