Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience and promote beverage sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handle cash handling duties efficiently
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to elevate the guest experience
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies as needed, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during events like banquets or catering functions to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, and craft beer trends
- Proficiency with POS systems including Toast
- Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests in a hospitality setting
- Experience in fine dining environments or food service industry preferred
- Ability to develop beverage recipes and demonstrate creativity in drink presentation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality industry roles such as serving or banquet service is advantageous
- Knowledge of bar management practices and hospitality industry standards
