Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our behavioral health company's financial planning, management, and reporting functions. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving sustainable growth. This executive position requires a dynamic leader with a strong foundation in financial analysis, corporate finance, risk management, and team leadership. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, responsible not only for the financial stewardship of the organization but also for key operational functions that directly impact clinical care delivery and organizational growth. This role blends high-level financial oversight with operational leadership, particularly at the intersection of clinical effectiveness, revenue cycle integrity, admissions optimization, and investor readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy, Planning & Oversight
· Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy in alignment with its mission, vision, and long-term goals.
· Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across departments, ensuring alignment with clinical priorities and organizational capacity.
· Design, build, and maintain comprehensive financial reporting packages, dashboards, and executive-level performance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
· Develop and maintain long-range financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting models to evaluate growth opportunities, capital needs, and organizational sustainability.
· Monitor financial performance through KPIs and dashboards, providing timely, actionable insights to leadership.
· Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and GAAP standards.
· Review, reconcile, and record monthly revenue through analysis of billed charges, census activity, and reimbursement trends to ensure accurate financial reporting.
· Manage banking relationships, financing agreements, and capital structure strategy.
Clinical/Financial Interface & Operational Alignment
· Partner closely with clinical leadership to ensure financial processes support high-quality, cost-effective care.
· Interpret clinical utilization trends and integrate them into financial and operational planning.
· Conduct ongoing audits of daily census activity and patient utilization data to support accurate revenue recognition, forecasting, and operational planning.
· Ensure that staffing models, programming decisions, and service expansion are supported by robust financial analysis.
· Drive the development of cost-accounting and patient-level profitability models that inform strategic decisions.
Revenue Cycle Management
· Oversee the full revenue cycle, including payer contracting, utilization review, billing, collections, and appeals.
· Provide strategic oversight of outsourced revenue cycle and billing partners, ensuring performance accountability, timely reimbursement, patient collection effectiveness, refund management, and regulatory compliance.
· Identify and implement opportunities to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and shorten days in accounts receivable.
· Work collaboratively with admissions, utilization review, and clinical documentation teams to ensure clean claims and timely reimbursement.
Admissions & Financial Processes
· Provide oversight and structure to financial elements of the admissions process, including benefit verifications, pre-authorizations, and patient responsibility communications.
· Ensure clarity and consistency in financial policies presented to families and referring providers.
· Implement systems that reduce friction at intake and support transparent financial practices.
Investor & Partnership Engagement
· Serve as a key liaison for potential investors, strategic partners, and board members.
· Prepare investor-ready financial models, pitch decks, and due diligence documentation.
· Work with legal and executive teams on capital raises, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures.
· Present financial and operational updates to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
Operational and Cross-Functional Leadership
· Support oversight of facilities, technology, and vendor contracts as they relate to operational performance and cost containment.
· Direct cash management activities, including liquidity planning, operating cash flow monitoring, accounts payable oversight, and expense management.
· Oversee corporate purchasing and payment processes, including credit card administration, expense coding, policy compliance, and vendor payment execution.
· Lead or contribute to special projects related to business development, geographic expansion, or service line innovation.
· Ensure the alignment of operations, finance, and strategy to support organizational agility and growth.
Team Leadership and Development
· Lead and mentor the finance, revenue cycle, and administrative operations teams.
· Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence across departments.
· Collaborate with HR and clinical leadership to ensure staffing plans are financially sustainable and mission-aligned.
Other duties as position requires to optimize financial performance of Galen Hope.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial leader.
· Strong knowledge of financial planning, accounting principles, and risk management.
· Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus but not required.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
