We are seeking a skilled Commercial Driver's License (CDL/A) Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various types of trucks and trailers to ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, experience with different trailer types, and a commitment to safety and customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work with a reputable company( Landstar) dedicated to reliable logistics and efficient delivery services.
Duties
- Operate trucks automated transmissions, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, Dryvan or refrigerated trailers,
- Load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Drive route schedules efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Follow all safety protocols related to driving, vehicle maintenance, and cargo handling
Qualifications
- Age:Minimum 23 years old.
License:Class A CDL required (Class A for Expedited) with Hazmat endorsement.
- Experience:1 year of verifiable OTR experience within the last 3 years (6 months for expedited).
- Driving Record:No more than one serious violation in the past 36 months, no DUIs in the past 60 months, and no DOT-recordable/preventable accidents in the last 12 months.
- Criminal History:No felony convictions within the past 7 years.
- Background Check:Must pass a drug test and have no positive drug/alcohol tests.
- Equipment:Tractor must pass a rigorous Level One DOT inspection and be equipped for Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Language:Proficient in English.
- Driver will be driving for Landstar
- This is a 1099position
- Home on weekend’s
- No force Dispatch
- Offering 1,400 a week.
