Responsibilities: You'll coordinate and support a wide range of HR functions, including:
Employee Onboarding: Manage every step of the new hire process, including offer letters, onboarding paperwork, I-9s, tax forms, CORI/SORI background checks, reference verification, personnel and EEC files, benefits enrollment, and required documentation.
Employee Relations: Prepare documentation that supports leaders through employee relations matters, including coaching conversations, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, attendance documentation, separations, exit interviews, and employee communications.
Leave Administration: Coordinate PFML, FMLA, ADA accommodations, Workers' Compensation documentation, Department of Unemployment documentation and hearing participation, leave tracking, medical documentation, and return-to-work processes.
Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate personnel records while ensuring compliance with EEC regulations, licensing requirements, background checks, training records, CPR tracking, labor postings, and other employment documentation.
Recruiting & Hiring: Support recruiting by posting positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, preparing offer packets, communicating with candidates, and assisting with recruiting events.
Qualifications
Required
- 1–3 years of Human Resources experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft office, particularly Excel as well as proficiency with AI applications
- Ability to travel between the three school locations, throughout the week on a set schedule
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Management, or a related field
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Experience in childcare, education, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry
- Experience with high-volume hiring or multi-site organizations
- Experience using HRIS and payroll systems

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
