Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Commercial Finish Carpenters and Millwork Installers to join our team for projects in the Indianapolis area and beyond. This is a role for seasoned professionals who take pride in precision craftsmanship, can work independently, and are looking to grow with a dedicated team.
In addition to our Houston-based projects, we frequently coordinate commercial builds across multiple regions. We highly encourage applicants who are open to travel opportunities with our company to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Installation: Independently perform all aspects of commercial finish carpentry and architectural millwork installation, including custom trim, paneling, new cabinets, fixtures, and metal/wood doors.
- Specialty Commercial Work: Install bathroom accessories, partitions, and Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP).
- Structural Prep: Install standards, in-wall wood blocking in back-of-house (BOH) areas, and ensure strict adherence to blueprints and technical specifications.
- Site Layout & Flooring: Review architectural layouts and securely anchor specialized fixtures and furniture to concrete floors with precision.
- Worksite Leadership: Maintain a highly organized, efficient, and clean worksite while keeping a drug free workplace, professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience specifically in commercial finish carpentry and architectural millwork installation.
- Tools: Must own a comprehensive set of professional carpentry tools required to complete high-end finish, trim, and millwork independently.
- Transportation: Must have reliable personal transportation for travel to and from various worksites.
- Blueprint Proficiency: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and execute layouts directly from commercial blueprints and architectural millwork drawings.
- Mindset: Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, excellent communication skills, and a strict focus on job site safety.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
- Please note: Your exact rate within this range will be based on your level of experience, your demonstrated ability to manage installations independently, and the specific types/sophistication of the professional tools you bring to the job.
