This role is based in our newly opened Savannah distribution warehouse.
Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate participates in all warehouse operations and activities under the supervision of the Warehouse General Manager. This person is an important member of our warehouse team and will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders and/or unloading of containers as well as provide ad hoc warehouse support as needed.
This is a high-impact role within a ~160,000 sq. ft. facility with ~13,000 pallet positions in a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) environment, requiring motivation, operational discipline, forklift and pallet jack equipment coordination, process execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Must be trained and Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machines.
- Additional responsibilities include
o Unloading containers, palletizing goods and storing on racks
o Building customer pallet orders (some mixed SKUs), wrapping and loading on LTL
o Picking and Labeling Small Parcel orders and shipping with carriers (FedEx
/ UPS / Etc.)
o Pallet labeling along with QA checking
o Keep work environment organized complying with procedures, rules & regulations.
- Preferred experience: Narrow Aisle Forklifts.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of warehouse distribution experience.
- Experience, forklifts, pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machines
- Experience with inbound container receiving and high-volume operations
- Driver license (noncommercial class C)
Physical demand
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. boxes.
- Repetitive standing, bending, kneeling, lifting & reaching.
