Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support childhood development, early childhood education, and social skills.
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with case management, parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities.
- Support children with daily routines such as choirs, dressing, and hygiene practices.
- Manage behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and age-appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Ensure a safe environment by childproofing spaces, supervising playtime, and adhering to all safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is mandatory.
- Experience in teaching or activity planning for young children is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to supervise children effectively while maintaining a lively yet safe environment.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
