Looking for a job outside the normal Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician role? Using your knowledge to Test, Adjust and Balance commercial and industrial systems. This energetic role involves diagnosing, testing, problem solving and managing projects while having a suite of personnel to assist you throughout the process. No repairing, installing, or servicing of HVAC systems. We test and adjust mechanical systems, electrical components, and building automation systems to meet the engineer's design criteria and the owner's project requirements. Responsibilities
- Perform testing and capture documentation of HVAC system performance, including rooftop units, air conditioning units, boilers, chillers, kitchen exhaust hoods, laboratory systems and ventilation systems and much more.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Diagnose and help resolve complex equipment problems related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform precise tests while adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide expert recommendations on HVAC system design improvements or upgrades.
- Maintain detailed records and fill out reports for all work performed to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in the calibration of equipment with building automation systems that optimize energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design principles for effective troubleshooting and system upgrades.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience operating hand tools safely in diverse environments; familiarity with building automation systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
