The Opportunity
We're hiring three Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join a stable, growing metal processing and recycling operation in Wabash.
This industrial campus transforms recycled metal into finished aluminum ingots using large-scale melting equipment, material handling systems, conveyors, dust collection systems, and other production equipment. The maintenance team plays a critical role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently by responding to equipment breakdowns, performing repairs, and supporting preventative maintenance throughout the operation.

Schedule & Pay
Day Shift
- 7:00am – 7:00pm
- 2-2-3 rotating schedule
Night Shift
- 7:00pm – 7:00am
- 2-2-3 rotating schedule
- Additional $1.00/hour shift premium
Training
- Your first 30 days will be spent on a traditional 1st Shift schedule (7:00am – 3:00pm) while learning the operation, equipment, and maintenance processes.
- Overtime may be available during training based on business needs and your demonstrated ability.
Additional Information
- Pay range: $24–$28/hour, based on experience
- Typical hiring range is $27–$28/hour for experienced maintenance technicians
- Paid for 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
- Hours worked over 40 are paid at time-and-a-half
- Additional overtime opportunities are available for plant projects
- Voluntary overtime is regularly available for those looking to earn more
What You'll Be Doing
This position is primarily focused on troubleshooting and repairing production equipment while supporting preventative maintenance efforts throughout the facility.
Mechanical Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment
- Maintain melting furnaces, conveyors, dust collection systems, motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and related machinery
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs to minimize downtime
- Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Install and replace mechanical components as needed
Welding & Fabrication
- Perform welding and light fabrication repairs
- Fabricate brackets, guards, supports, and repair components
- Assist with equipment modifications and continuous improvement projects
Electrical Support
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting when needed
- Work around industrial 480V, 3-phase equipment
- Partner with electrical maintenance resources on larger electrical repairs
What We're Looking For
Required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment in an industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, automotive, heavy equipment, or similar hands-on environment
- Welding and fabrication skills or a willingness to continue developing them
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred
- Industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with conveyors, material handling equipment, or heavy industrial machinery
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with 480V, 3-phase electrical systems
- Preventative maintenance experience

Work Environment
This position supports maintenance across a large industrial campus consisting of multiple production buildings and support systems.
Expect hands-on work involving:
- Large production and material handling equipment
- Melting furnaces, conveyors, dust collection systems, and related machinery
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
- Welding and light fabrication
- Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Walking, climbing, lifting, and working around heavy industrial equipment
Because the maintenance team supports the entire operation, you'll occasionally work outdoors while servicing exterior equipment located between buildings or on rooftop systems. The campus includes multiple production buildings, so the role offers a variety of work environments and equipment throughout the year.
