Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial operations of our Internal Medicine Practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in accounting principles, financial management, and regulatory compliance within healthcare settings. As Controller, you will lead the accounting and payroll team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain robust internal controls to support the practice’s strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree with 7 or more years Accounting experience is required.
- Proficiency with Accounting software, particularly Quickbooks Online
- Supervisory experience of Accounting, Payroll and Revenue Cycle department(s) required
- Healthcare billing experience preferred
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Microsoft Office proficiency particularly Excel and Pivot Tables
Able to work independently and complete deadlines timely. Strong attention to detail. Organized, task oriented and deadline driven. Possess a sense of ownership and pride in performance and the impact on the success of the Practice. Ability to work with others and obtain knowledge of the processes in the workplace. Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Service Excellence skills
