Job Summary
Lord Construction Group is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Van Deployment Specialist to support our AMI Program across Puerto Rico. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of service vehicles between deployment zones (laydowns), working in close coordination with warehouse personnel to ensure every van is fully staged and ready before the end of each shift. This is a hands-on field position that plays a critical role in keeping the daily operations running on schedule. You will be the link between the warehouse team and the deployment fleet, ensuring vehicles are positioned at the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Movement & Coordination
- Drive and reposition service vans between deployment zones
- Ensure all assigned vehicles are fully staged and ready before shift end
- Coordinate vehicle flow with warehouse personnel to avoid bottlenecks at loading/unloading stations
- Follow designated routes and sequencing to support efficient fleet turnaround
- Communicate proactively with the warehouse team regarding vehicle readiness, delays, or any issues identified in the field
Compliance & Safety
- Operate all vehicles in full compliance with safety regulations, company procedures, and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any damage or mechanical concerns immediately
- Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times within the warehouse and field areas
- Document vehicle movements and report any deviations, irregularities, or safety concerns to the shift supervisor
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve vehicle staging efficiency and reduce turnaround time
- Actively participate in team briefings, shift handoffs, and process improvement sessions
- Support the overall goals of the AMI Program by maintaining accountability and a high standard of execution
Requirements
- Valid Puerto Rico drivers license
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to drive cargo vans and navigate between laydown zones
- Strong commitment to safety compliance and established procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with warehouse staff
- Availability to work rotating shifts (1st and 2nd) as required by operational demand
- English proficiency is preferred
- Experience in logistics, fleet operations, or warehouse environments is preferred
