Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for clients requiring support with daily activities, medical needs, and emotional well-being. Responsibilities
Must be female & spanish speaking
- Provide comprehensive personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, assisting with medication administration, and maintaining accurate medical documentation within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or end-of-life care by implementing tailored strategies to ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting medical records and communicating effectively with healthcare teams
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry as part of home health care assistance
- Respond promptly to emergencies by applying first aid or basic life support (BLS) techniques and coordinating with emergency services when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience caring for geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities or chronic conditions like Alzheimer's disease
- Proven ability to perform patient transfers safely using various methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience working within home health regulations and maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with privacy standards such as HIPAA
- familiarity with home & community care settings is essential
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in hospice care or heavy lifting are a plus
