Job Overview
We are a growing pediatric speech therapy private practice in the Village of West Clay neighborhood of Carmel, Indiana. We provide high-quality, family-centered speech and language therapy to children in a welcoming, play-based clinic environment. We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team on a part-time basis, with the clear potential to increase hours as the caseload grows.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals (e.g., pediatricians, teachers, OTs, PTs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in school or clinical settings; pediatric expertise highly valued
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques for diverse populations
- Familiarity with patient assessment tools and diagnostic procedures for speech and language disorders
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or communication challenges stemming from neurological or developmental conditions
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient tracking
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology and physiology of speech mechanisms
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to speech production and swallowing functions
- Commitment to patient-centered care with a focus on early intervention strategies
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current Indiana state licensure (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply
- Experience working with pediatric populations (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
