Custom Home Construction Superintendent
Fox Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee high-end custom residential projects along the 30A corridor.
This is a hands-on field leadership position for someone who takes ownership of their projects. Our Superintendents are responsible not only for managing trades, schedules, quality, and jobsite conditions, but also for maintaining strong communication and documentation throughout the construction process.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, organized, solutions-oriented, and capable of running their projects without needing constant direction. When challenges arise, we expect our Superintendents to investigate the issue, develop a recommended solution, and bring that solution forward for approval rather than simply passing the problem along.
Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day construction activities on assigned custom residential projects
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and deliveries
- Maintain project schedules and proactively address potential delays
- Perform quality control of subcontractor work throughout construction

- Verify quantities and condition of materials delivered to the jobsite
- Coordinate and be onsite for critical deliveries
- Order and procure materials as required
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
- Identify deficiencies, photograph/document them, and coordinate corrective work with subcontractors
- Manage punch-list completion and project closeout
- Coordinate and manage warranty work on completed projects
- Perform minor hands-on work when necessary to keep a project moving
Client Communication & Project Documentation
- Communicate professionally and directly with homeowners throughout construction
- Keep clients informed of project progress, upcoming decisions, and field conditions
- Identify potential changes in scope and facilitate the change-order process before work proceeds
- Coordinate with the office to ensure pricing, approvals, and documentation are completed for change orders
- Maintain accurate project information in Buildertrend
- Complete daily logs documenting jobsite activity, manpower, progress, issues, and other relevant information
- Take and upload project photos daily
- Record a brief 15–30 second jobsite progress video approximately once per week
- Maintain clear documentation of important conversations, decisions, deficiencies, and field conditions
What We Expect
This position requires more than simply scheduling subcontractors.
We expect our Superintendents to take ownership of their projects and be accountable for the quality, schedule, communication, documentation, and overall condition of the jobsite.
The right candidate will:
- Work independently without requiring constant supervision
- Be proactive rather than reactive
- Anticipate problems before they become larger issues
- Bring proposed solutions, not simply problems
- Follow through and close loops without repeated reminders
- Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the office
- Be comfortable holding subcontractors accountable for quality and schedule
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation
- Be organized enough to manage multiple priorities without losing track of details
