This position involves application software development and integration of our industry leading MediaPro VoIP communication products with customized user GUI’s and networked communication servers. Principal responsibilities involve architecture, design and development of user GUI’s and web based applications and integration of H.323 and SIP gateways into our industry leading MediaPro products. In addition provide a cross platform, web based, provisioning system allowing any client to control and provision VoIP services on our server application using standard HTML protocols, including J2EE and J2SE. Take overall responsibility for producing and maintaining fully tested and documented software, user configuration Common and technical liaison with our user and industry standards organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration and extension of H323 and SIP communications protocol software on Power PC.
- Understand protocols, functionality and application areas related to the assigned project.
- Participate in the design, implementation and testing of software products.
- Create product documents.
- Contribute to and implement project plans.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
- 5 years experience in developing telecommunications software, related to H323 and SIP.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of C, C++, HTML and JAVA.
- Strong background in voice communications protocols, data communications protocols, hardware/software integration, and real-time operating systems.
- Good technical leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Desired Capabilities:
- General knowledge of various system architectures, including real time operating system, PowerPC processor families; cPCI and VME bus and Ethernet.
- Broad view of the technology and systems they are working with.
- Strong technical leadership and ability to work with little or no supervision.
Other Responsibilities:
- Understand, in detail, protocol specifications, functionality and application areas related to the assigned project.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Recommend changes to the product specifications, design and documentation.
- Generate status reports as required.
