Unarmed Enhanced Security Officer ($17–$21.50/hr)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct frequent foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned properties.
- Manage access control and verify identification.
- Monitor, document, and report suspicious activity or incidents.
- Provide customer service, assistance, and a welcoming presence.
- Adhere to safety protocols and legal regulations.
Enhanced Role Details:
Though classified as unarmed, officers are equipped with non-lethal tools such as:
- Pepper spray
- Baton
- Taser
- Radio communication gear
- Body-worn camera system
Note: This is a hands-on security role. Officers may need to physically intervene when necessary to protect clients, property, and the public. Training and support are provided to ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
Requirements:
- 21+ years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Unarmed DPSST Security License
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to pass background check & drug screening
- Level IIIA ballistic vest (or willingness to acquire, support available)
- 1+ year security experience preferred
- Have your own gear preferred
