Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and patient-focused Veterinary Assistant to join our Primary Care team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in veterinary medicine or continue developing their clinical skills through hands-on experience in a high-level hospital environment.
Veterinary Assistants are an essential part of our medical team. They help keep appointments moving, support doctors and technicians, comfort patients, educate pet owners, and make sure every patient receives safe, compassionate care.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, attentive, eager to learn, and genuinely committed to helping animals, supporting clients, and contributing to a strong team.
Not Your Average Morning Commute
Your workday begins on our beautiful working farm campus, where you may be greeted by longhorns, emus, goats, pigs, and geese before you even walk through the hospital doors.
Yes, it is a veterinary hospital.
Yes, it is also a working farm.
And yes, the animals may occasionally judge your parking.
Forgot breakfast or coffee? We have you covered with a fully stocked breakfast bar and complimentary snacks available to our team.
Once your shift begins, you will step into a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment where your role truly matters. You may assist with outpatient appointments, mobile visits in clients’ homes, walk-in urgent care cases, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery.

What Success Looks Like
Successful Veterinary Assistants are dependable, observant, compassionate, and ready to help wherever they are needed.
They communicate respectfully, maintain accurate medical records, follow hospital policies and medical protocols, and understand that even the smallest details can make a meaningful difference in patient care.
You do not need to know everything on your first day. You do need to be willing to learn, ask questions, accept feedback, and take pride in becoming a stronger member of the veterinary team.
