We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all pharmaceutical regulations and hospital protocols
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies, including acute pain management and oncology treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across departments such as ICU, PICU, Emergency Room, and Level I Trauma Centers to optimize medication plans
- Manage IV infusion preparations using aseptic techniques and ensure proper drug compounding procedures are followed
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems for documentation, medication reconciliation, and patient data review
- Provide clinical pharmacy services including pharmacotherapeutics consultations, medication therapy management, and patient education
- Precept pharmacy residents and students, fostering the next generation of pharmacy professionals while maintaining high standards of practice
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license with current practicing credentials in the relevant jurisdiction
- Extensive hospital pharmacy experience with a focus on acute care settings such as ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers
- Demonstrated expertise in managed care principles and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance
- Proven track record in clinical pharmacy practice with specialties in pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience with hospital pharmacy information systems (PIS) and EMR/EHR platforms for efficient medication management
- Strong knowledge of drug regulation policies, IV infusion techniques, aseptic procedures, and medication administration protocols
- Prior post-residency or Level II/Level I trauma center experience preferred; PICU or pediatric pharmacy experience is a plus
- Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on patient service and safety across diverse populations including pediatrics and oncology patients
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as ICU or emergency settings while maintaining attention to detail
